- 英文摘要: We investigated the diffusion of a solute (yohimbine, MW=354.43) into polysulfone and ceramic hollow fibers experimentally by measuring the transient concentration changes of the solute in a well- stirred solution in which hollow-fiber segments of pertinent lengths were suspended. We also developed a mathematical model describing the transient diffusion to estimate the effective diffusivity of the solute in the hollow-fiber membranes. The method is experimentally simple, involves no sophisticated equipment, and thus provides a quick and convenient means of estimating the effective diffusivity of a low-molecular-weight solute in the hollow-fiber membrane.
