- 中文摘要: 細胞大小於生物組織學上,可由細胞平面切片透過顯微鏡觀察,加以測量。由於細胞是立體構造,如何由平面切片之大小測量,估計細胞實體大小之分佈是Wickcell提出立體學上的微粒統計問題(Corpuscle problem)。一般討論重點乃在尋求此類積分方程的逼近解。本研究則以另一角度研究此分布。因為細胞之大小常作為正常與惡性病態細胞區分的最初步指標,因此我們認為細胞核大小可以反映細胞形態的生長。一般平面切片大小的觀測值,大都以頻度表列出,因此提出以統計方法類似生命表之性質,如何由平面觀察值估計細胞形態生長率,並以蒙地卡羅模擬方法,探討所提出之估計量的統計性質。
- 英文摘要: In biological histology, cell size is measured from two-dimensional cell sections. The profile radiiare recorded as a histogram. The estimation of real size distribution from the profile radius is Wicksell'scorpuscle problem. Several approximate solutions of the integral equations have been discussed in the fieldof stereology. Cell size distribution can be used in the differential diagnosis between normal cells andmalignant cells. In this study, we considered the estimation of cell growth rate from cell nuclei size distri-bution by methods analogous to those applied to life time analysis. The performance of estimates wasinvestigated using a simulation study. Comparisons of performance between the estimates obtained for theprofile radius and that for the radius obtained by estimated real size distribution are also made.
