- 中文摘要: Conventional education is a country's socialization environment to cultivate student's society adjustment. Knowledge and mainstream values are passed through the education mechanism to shape talents the country needs to serve its society and to leverage its overall competitiveness. At the same time, it's the purpose of education only serving a country's narrow aspiration while individuality and marginal culture's (relative to mainstream culture) richness and beauty unable to be expressed in the education system? Individuality and diverse cultures representing cultural perspective also can't engage in dialogues with other mainstream cultures in the education system. Therefore, multicultural courses with emphasis in multicultural equality, accepting students' diverse cultures, cross-culture mutual understanding and learning will become future curriculum's critical re-engineering goals. What is the course and teaching format of current curriculum after Taiwan gone through array of educators' promotion and revising curriculum standard twice? This research selected a multiethnic fourth-grade classroom in Taiwan as instructional observation candidates. Data collected will foster understanding of education reality as reference base for future implementation of multicultural courses. Main goals of this research are as follows: (1) Research multicultural course content and multicultural school knowledge. (2) Understand current curriculum design and current textbook presentation of multicultural material. (3) Discuss school knowledge system and the interaction between multicultural material and teaching. (4) Analyze how teachers present multicultural content essence and their relative problems during the teaching process. (5) Propose suggestions for future implementation of multicultural courses.
- 英文摘要: 以往的教育是國家社會化的場所,培養學生適應社會,透過教育的機制,傳輸知識與主流價值,塑造國家所需的人才,為國家社會服務,提升國家之整體競爭力。但是,在此同時,教育的目的是否僅符應了國家狹隘的理想,而個體的特質及邊緣文化(相對於主流文化)的豐富與美麗,卻無法在教育體系裡彰顯;個體及多樣文化所代表的文化視野,也無法在教育體系中與其他主流文化對話。因此強調各種文化平等、接納學生不同文化強調文化間的彼此理解與學習的多元文化課程,將是未來課程改革的重要課題。而臺灣在諸多學者的提倡及經歷兩次課程標準的修訂後,在教育的現場呈顯了何種樣貌的課程與教學?本研究選擇了一所多族群的學校,以四年級為研究對象進行教學觀察,期能瞭解教育現場的真實,作為未來落實多元文化課程的參考。本研究主要目的如下:(1)探究多元文化課程的內涵及多元文化的學校知識。(2)瞭解目前學校課程規畫及教科書呈現多元文化材料的情形。(3)探討學校知識的運作情形及多元文化教材與教學間的關係。(4)分析教師在教學過程中展現的多元文化的精神及相關的問題。(5)提出未來實施多元文化課程的建議。
