- 英文摘要: A physico-chemical model has been formulated to describe the kinetics of the chlorination of titanium dioxide-carbon pellet. Based on this model, simultaneous differential equations were derived. When the model was employed to interpret the experimental data, the chemical reaction rate expression, which was determined in the chemical reaction control region, was used and the simultaneous differential equations were solved by orthogonal collocation method. The expression of initial gas diffusivity which has been left as fitting parameter to calculate theoretical predictions was determined as follows De,o=44.22exp(-5,576/(R/sub g/T)) cm/sup 2//min It was found that the reaction between chlorine, titanium dioxide and carbon can be predicted fairly well by the model.
