• 中文摘要： 臺南5號水稻之初生根在含1 mg/1 2，4-D及0·5 mg/1 kinetin之Murashige and Skoog(MS)培養基上可長出癒合組織，小部分的癒合組識在含4 mg/1 kinetin之ms培養基上分化為幼苗。但所得到之幼苗均為二元體（2n二24)，顯示在培養過程中沒有染色體加借的現象發生
• 英文摘要： Callus tissues were raised from the primary roots of rice (Oryza sativaL. variety Tainan 5) on Murashige and Skoog's (MS) medium supplementedwith I mg/1 2, 4-D and 0.5 mg/1 kinetin．These calluses were induced todifferentiate into plantlets in vitro. Cytological investigations revealed thediploid number of chromosomes (2n→24)，indicating that chromosomedoubling did not occur during the culture procedures.
