- 英文摘要: Copolyesters of 1,4-butanediol, terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid, and adipic acid with different molecular weights were prepared by melt polycondensation in the presence of p-phenylbenzoic acid (PB series) or benzoic acid(B series). Only p-phenylbenzoic acid was successful in controlling the molecular weight. The molecular weight of PB series could be predicted by the molar ratio of p- phenylbenzoic acid to diacids. T/sub g/ of PB series decreased slightly as the molecular weight of copolyesters decreased. The Brookfield melt viscosity decreased significantly with decreasing molecular weight. Copolyesters were used as hot melt adhesives, the lap shear strength increased as the molecular weight increased and then leveled off as the IV was above 0.6 dL/g.
