- 中文摘要: 由於生涯教育的興起與推行,有許多學者已重視高級中學學生之課程與生涯選擇之研究,但在目前之研究文獻中,卻根少有人進行文化中背景因素對學生課程與生涯選擇影響之研究。 本研究係針對以上問題而進行泛文化之比較研究,探討中美高級中學階段學生的生涯選擇之異同,本研究主要探討以下之幾項重點:1課程選擇,2生涯選擇,3畢業後之就業意願,4畢業後接受進一步教育或訓練之意願,與5工作經驗。 為達到以上之研究目的,分別由研究者在台灣省高級職業學校分層抽取2000位學生及在美國抽取1000位學生為樣本進行問卷調查,綜合台灣1477份及美國745份之資料,分析後發現國別與文化背景的差異的確影響高中學生的課程與生涯之看法、期望與選擇。
- 英文摘要: While considerable research efforts have been made to identify factors which influence highschool-age students in making curriculum and career choices,little attention in research has beendirected to the cultural variable and impacts on such decisions. This study included a cross-cultural comparison of curriculum and career decisions made byhigh school students in vocational programs in Taiwan and the United States. Comparisons were made regarding a) curriculum choice, b) career choice, c) prospect of employ-ment upon graduation,d) perception regarding continued education and training,and e) workexperience. Significant differences were found and the results confirmed that country or culture is a domi-nant factor which influences student perceptions,expectations and choices.
