- 中文摘要: 詩有各種不同定義,但一切詩歌創作皆有兩個階段:「塑造感受」階段與「塑造傳達」階段。後者即為言語化之過程,而創作詩即為選擇與安排語言成分和超語言成分之藝術。從一字、一詞、一句,到整段整篇,詩人皆需在語音、語形、語意和語用等四個空間中,謀求最佳之選擇與安排。故寫詩與現代語言學是息息相關的。本論文企圖以各種實例,闡明詩人如何在四個語言空間中運用其手法,同時表明語言學與詩學之親密關係。
- 英文摘要: If poetry concerns the art of selection and combination, then it is an art of selecting andcombining linguistic as well as supralinguistic components so that proper words are put in theirproper places. The linguistic components involved in this process may be considered in termsof units-from individual sounds through words, phrases, clauses, and sentences to an entirecomposition. In addition, no matter which unit a poet is working with at any particular mo-ment, he or she is working simultaneously in four spaces: sound, shape, sense, and situation.Therefore, the art of poetry has a strong connection with modern linguistics-including pho-nology, graphology, semantics, and pragmatics. In this paper, I discuss various poetic elementsin connection with these four linguistic spaces, and I give examples to highlight the close relation-ship between linguistics and poetics. Thus, the focus of this paper is to clarify the art- andprocess of creating poetry, and to reestablish a bridge between these two fields-a bridge thathas previously been broken as a result of the“poetic language fallacy.”
