- 英文摘要: The configurational distribution function of dumbbell macromolecules (rigid and linearly elastic) in a group of nonlinear rectilinear flows of dilute solution is obtained. It is shown that, compared to linear (homogeneous) and quadratic flow results, the shear-rate inhomogeneity of various orders can alter the distribution function of dumbbells in a significant way. Based on these configurational distribution functions, the mean slip velocities and stress contributions of the dumbbells are computed. Both elastic and rigid dumbbell models predict the shear thinning effect of the viscosity coefficient and the primary normal stress coefficient of the suspension in the third-order rectilinear flow. For a suspension of rigid dumbbells, the secondary normal stress coefficient is a negatie value whose magnitude decreases with the increase of shear rate and is much smaller than the primary normal stress coefficient.
