- 中文摘要: Although many kinds of excised plant roots have been examined for asepticculture in artificially synthesized media since Kotte and Robbins (1922), only thosefrom dicotyledonous plants have been proved successful. Owing to some unknownfactors confronting in excised root culture problem, most of monocotyledonous plantsroots, especially those gramineae origins still can not get substantial progress. Riceplant root is not an exception. The authors of the subject have noticed this problem. After many experiments on the effects of the excised roots growth since 1969, twotypes of improved culture media for Indica type rice root were obtained recently. But excised roots from Japonica type rice cultivar have shown poor growth in aboveimproved media. Further observations on the nitrate reductase activities and relatedrespiration rate of Qo, Qco and R. Q. within excised roots have revealed that nitratereducing abilities may be poorer within this type of rice. The different culture responses to the known synthesized media may take forthe exist of definite genetical and physiological differentiation among types of riceplant, such as Indica and Japonica. The results obtained are courageous to make afurther understanding on the problems of physiological and ecological differentiationof the exist rice types and their cultivation. In order to apply the root culture methods to estimate strictly the possibledetrimental effects of formic, acetic and n-butylic acids, which are pre provedproducing in the reduced paddy through metabolically process, were added withdifferent concentrations to the entire culture media. The growth rate of roots wereinhibitted by the all organic acids used. Further observation on the respiratoryrate has shown that the detrimental effects to the root growth may be attainedthrough the interferanc of the normal respiratory rate of cultured roots.
