- 英文摘要: Unpromoted and Cr-promoted cobalt borides were prepared by chemical reduction of cobalt acetate with sodium borohydride or diborane. The physical and chemical properties were characterized by ICP, XRD and XPS analyses, and chemisorption of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The catalytic properties of these catalysts were investigated on CO hydrogenation at 250-280.degree.C, 1atm and a H/sub 2//CO ratio of 3. Cobalt borides prepared from cobalt acetate were all ferromagnetic. Fresh cobalt borides were amorphous, but some crystallines were formed after heating. There were two boron states in the catalysts, one being the boron oxide state and the other the boride state. Not all hydrogen was dissociatively adsorbed on the cobalt borides, some being absorbed into the matrix of catalysts. The dopant of chromium promoted the chemisorption and dissociation of carbon monoxide. Chromium also enhanced the activity, and the selectivity of long-chain hydrocarbons for CO hydrogenation.
