- 英文摘要: The reactivity and the capacity of sulfation of magnesium carbonate with gaseous mixture of sulfur dioxide, oxygen and nitrogen as well as the change of surface area of sample have been studied in a thermogravimetric analyzer along with scanning electron microscope and the surface area meter. The experimental results indicate that the rate and the capacity of sulfation can be increased by increasing the flow rate of gaseous mixture, the sulfation temperature, the concentration of SO/sub 2/ or the concentration of O/sub 2/. They can also be increased by decreasing the sample weight, the calcination time, or the calcination temperature. Sulfation temperature, initial weight of sample and calcination temperature are the most important factors influencing the rate and the capacity of sulfation. The results also reveal that increase of calcination temperature or calcination time may reduce the surface area of the solid sample. Increasing sulfation temperature may reduce the surface area of the sulfated sample, but the effect is found to be weak.
