Three basic techniques generally used in centrifugation studies of fractionate
macromolecu1es in biostructures are reviewed from thermodynamic and transport theories.
A spherical non-interacting particle model is presented for the prediction of (1) position of
particle, (2) instantaneous particle velocity, and (3) instantaneous particle sedimentation
coefficient through an arbitrary density gradient solution, which is characterized by the
