- 中文摘要: 本研究發展並效化「生物認知偏好調查表」(BCPI) ,並藉之探索職前生物教師之生物認知偏好風格。研究結果顯示,BCPI之R、P、Q、A四類認知偏好分數之「內部均質性信度」分別為0.95, 0.84, 0.94和0.86,穩定信度亦稱理想。同時效度和構念效度的考驗亦均十分理想。結果顯示BCPI為一可信、有效的生物認知偏好評測工具。 職前生物教師的生物認知偏好風格顯示出強烈的Q(質疑)偏好,較弱的R(記憶)偏好‧其對R、P、Q、A四種型式的偏好程度,依高低順序排列為Q-P、A-R,就年級言,三、四年級學生的R偏好比一二年級學生稍微強些,而Q偏好則稍徽弱些。本研究的結果同時也設實了生物認知偏好風格中,有Q-R(科學好奇心)向度的存在。此外男女職前生物教師的生物認知偏好風格並無顯著差異存在。 研究結果同時亦顯示,職前生物教師的生物認知偏好與學業成就之間並無顯著相關存在。生物認知偏好之P偏好分數與科學態度之間則有低度正相關存在,其餘三項偏好分數與科學態度之間則無顯著相關存在。
- 英文摘要: This study developed and validated the Biology Cognitive Preference Inventory (BCPI) forinvestigating the biology cognitive preference styles of students in the biology teacher educationprogram. The internal consistency relibilities of the BCPI were 0.95, 0.84, 0.94, and 0.86 for R,P,Q, and A preference areas, respectively. Examination of the stability was also satisfactory. Furtheranalysis of data had demonstrated the support of the concurrent and construct validity of theBCPI. It was concluded that the BCPI is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing biologycognitive preference styles of biology teachers. Results of the study revealed that preservice biology teachers exhibited a strong preference forthe Q (Questioning) mode and a weak preference for the R (Recall) mode. The rank order of theextent of preference from highest to lowest was Q--->P. A--->R. When comparisons ofcognitive preference scores among each grade level were made, it was found that juniors andseniors exhibited a slightly stronger preference for R and less preference for Q than did freshmenand sophomores. There were no significant differences between cognitive preferences of male andfemale subjects. The Q-R dichotomy (scientific curiosity scale) of cognitive preference stylessuggested in previous studies was supported by the present study for biology. The results of data analysis further revealed that no statistically significant correlations werefound between biology cognitive preference scores and academic achievement in biology. Scoresfor P modes correlated positively and weakly with scientific attitudes as measured by the SAT.
