- 中文摘要: 為了解夸克在當今原子核物理或中能物理所扮演角色,我們討論一些相關之研究題材。首先,我們指出當下原子核物理之範疇應涵蓋零重子系統(如介子、核子反核子系統、夸克膠子離體等),單一重子系統(如核子與超子),雙重子系統,原子核,以至無窮多重子系統(如核物質與緊密星體)。為具體起見,本文中列舉一些實例以說明夸克可能扮演之角色。
- 英文摘要: Several general research topics in the area of contemporary nuclear physics or intermediate energyphysics, are briefly reviewed and discussed, in order to shed some light on roles of quarks in nuclei. Inparticular, a general boundary of contemporary nuclear physics is specified that covers studies of (1) zero-baryon, A=0, systems such as mesons, nucleon-antinucleon systems, and quark-gluon plasma, (2) A=1systems such as nucleons and hyperons, (3) A=2 dibaryon systems, (4) finite nuclei or hypernuclei, and(5) A=∞ systems such as nuclear matter and dense stars. In this paper, a few examples of contemporarynuclear physics problems are provided for which incorporation of the subnucleonic quark degrees offreedom may be of potential importance. The level of presentation is kept as rudimentary as possible,although reference to more detailed, technical papers is made if necessary.
