- 中文摘要: 將正常鼠與JP鼠利用光學顯微鏡進行定量分析,藉以研究正常鼠與神經髓鞘形成不全鼠之間,甲狀腺構造上的差異。分析的結果,顯示出正常鼠的甲狀腺含有甚多的均勻的圓形濾泡以及立方形瀘泡細胞,且被稀疏的小葉間及瀘泡間結締組織以及小量的脂肪組織分隔著。 JP鼠的甲狀腺含有數目較少、被柱狀瀘泡細胞及上皮內微血管所環繞的小濾泡,被寬厚的結締組織以及大量的脂肪組織隔離著。於JP鼠,,甲狀腺瀘泡的數目呈現顯著地減少;另一顯著的差異是環繞著濾泡腔的每一個瀘泡上皮細胞幾乎皆伴有一條上皮內微血管。因此,其上皮內微血管的數目與甲狀腺濾泡的數目的比例呈現顯著地增加。於JP鼠,第二型甲狀腺濾泡(S-瀘泡或終鰓囊)非常發達,而且很容易被認別。副濾泡細胞則很正常。 從形態學上的資料,可以提供如下的建議,JP鼠的甲狀腺濾泡細胞,非常積極於甲狀腺球蛋白的輸送、合成與釋放,以及甲狀腺激素的分泌。但由於甲狀腺瀘泡的數目呈現顯著地減少,其所分泌的甲狀腺激素不充分,因而引起JP鼠的甲狀腺功能不足及神經髓鞘形成不全的結果。
- 英文摘要: A light microscopic quantitative analysis was performed on normal and jimpy male mice for study-ing the difference between the structures of the thyroid glands of the two animals. The results of thisanalysis showed that the thyroid gland of the normal mice consisted of numerous homogenous round fol-licles with cuboidal follicular cells, separated by thin interlobular and interfollicular connective tissue anda few adipose tissue. The thyroid gland of jimpy mice consisted of a few, small follicles surrounded bycolumnar follicular cells and intraepithelial capillaries, separated by thick connective tissue and abundantadipose tissue. The number of thyroid follicles are significantly less in the jimpy mice than in the normalmice. Another striking difference is that almost every follicular cell surrounding the follicular lumen ofjimpy mice is accompanied by an intraepithelial capillary. In addition,the ratio of the number of intrae-pithelial capillaries to the number of the thyroid follicular cells are significantly higher in the jimpy micethan in the normal mice. The S-follicles or ultimobranchial cysts of the thyroid gland are well developedin the jimpy mice. The parafollicular cells are normal in appearance. Morphological evidence suggested that the thyroid follicular cells of the jimpy mice are very activein the transport, synthesis and release of thyroglobulin, and secretion of thyroid hormones. But owing tothe significantly decreased number of thyroid follicles, the inadequate secretion of the thyroid hormonesresult in the hypothyroidism and the hypomyelination of the jimpy mice.
