• 中文摘要： 本省於1979年曾發生大規模之食油中毒事件，經查明乃係多氯聯苯污染所致。三年後(1982)於榮總作門診治療之中毒病患中，依6個不同年齡組選取36名病患抽血作淋巴細胞培養，分析染色體組成。另就陽明醫學院各實驗室之研究人員，選擇5個年齡組之10名健康人作對照研究。結果發現36名患者中有19人(52.7％)有染色體或染色分體的異常，而正常人中則無。單一病患帶有不正常染色體的細胞，其最高百分數為34.0。血液中多氯聯苯濃度變域為6.4-101.8 ppb，平均濃度為34.1 ppb。多氯聯苯濃度高低與染色體異常的多寡間未發現有相關存在。
• 英文摘要： Chromosome studies were carried out on peripheral blood lymphocytes from 36 PCB-poisonedpatients and on ten PCB-unexposed healthy controls. Nineteen out of 36 patients (52.7%) had either chro-mosome or chromatid aberrations, while none of the controls had. The highest percentage of cells withchromosome or chromatid aberrations in a single individual was 34.0. The blood PCB level ranged from 6.4to 101.8 ppb, with a mean of 34.1 ppb. No correlation was observed between the level of blood PCB andthe presence or absence of chromosome or chromatid aberrations.
