- 英文摘要: Effects of particle sedimentation on the wet front dynamic behaviour of capillary suction apparatus (CSA) tests are investigated experimentally and theoretically. A dynamic model incorporating particle sedimentation effect, which is an extension of our previous approach, is solved numerically with zone settling velocity and average specific resistance as model input data. Numerical calculations agree fairly with experiments. The regions of significance are also mapped. In most tests with filter papers of small to medium sizes, particle sedimentation effect can be safely neglected. However, when the filter paper size is large, particle sedimentation might be the most influential factor in determining the CSA dynamics.
