工業化生產稻殼粒片板之試驗

本實驗採用不同化學方法處理稻殼而製造粒片板,其中以乾炒為最佳,以l%氫氧化鈉為最差。但此改變稻殼化學成分之化學處理對於粒片板性質之效用,不如改變稻殼粒片物幾何形狀之機械處理顯著。以機械處理之稻殼粒片物為原料,加入適量木材粒片物,在工業化之一般條件下製造粒片板,其板之性質,除抗彎強度外,橫向抗張力(即內聚力)、厚度膨脹率與吸水率性質,均能合乎DIN 68761之規定。但只要在該粒片板之上下兩表面各貼0.8 mm厚的柳桉木材單板,其抗彎強度遂可大量增加,比規格標準高出42%......229%。若稻殼之處理及運輸費用與市場上的木材粒片物同為每公斤0.6元,則仍然有利可圖。於此雖證明稻殼作為製造粒片板之原料具有可行性,但仍應繼續研究其他性質之改良與加工利用之理想方法。

This experiment was to manufacture theparticleboard of rice hulls treated by variouschemical methods. Among them, baking treat-ment showed the best, and treated with 1%solution of sodium hydroxide showed the worst. According to the experimental results, thegeometrical treated rice hulls mixed with adequateamount of wood particles to be made as par-ticleboard under common manufacturing re-quirement, the board properties such as internalbonding strength, thickness swelling, and waterabsorption reached the DIN 68761 Standard,except bending strength. However, the bending strength could begreatly improved by means of the lamination of0.8 mm thick lauan veneer on the both surfacesof the board. This properties could be enhancedfrom 42% to 229% of the standard board. If the cost of the treatment of rice hullsand the transportation is the same as the priceof wood particles-NT$0.6/kg, this method isstill profitable, therefore the continuous studyon the improvement of the other properties andon the processing of the board are necessary inthe furture.
