- 中文摘要: 1,3,5-Trichlorobenzene is readily reduced to chlorobenzene and benzene in methanol/tetrahydrofuran solution by various mediators containing metal chlorides (M = Ni, Fe, Zn, Pt, Ru, and Co) in the presence of cyclam under electrolytic conditions. The mediators being composed of metal chlorides and 2,2¢-bipyridine are less effective in reducing trichlorobenzene under the same electrolytic conditions. Few electroreductions are observed when triethylamine and pyridine are used instead of cyclam. The reduction of chlorobenzene is presumed via an electron transfer from the low valence metal to chlorobenzene to remove the chlorine. Those low valence metals were generated in-situ by means of electroreduction.
