木質材料風化及其防止之研究(一)

粒片板及纖維板等木質材料,在臺灣的使用情形,並不如合板木質材料那麼普遍。根據分析,乃當時商品如美森板(即以木材為原料而製造的粒片板)及塑合板(臺灣糖業公司以蔗渣為原料而製造的粒片板),由於膠合劑品質、生產技術及產品利用方法尚未達到現階段的成就,而留下不良的印象,以致於使臺灣用戶裹足不前。但合板經過一段的努力,目前幾乎可取代實質木材的市場。 其責,歐美先進國家對於粒片板及纖維板的利用範例,不勝枚舉,不但用於室內,而且也用於室外,或舟車等交通工具。為研究擴大省產粒片板及纖維板木質材料的利用性,在本試驗中,以紅檜木材為對照,並附帶採用快速生長的麻六甲合歡及山黃麻,同樣地與省產木基板,以不同塗料處理,在極端的環境下—暴露室外,按時觀測其含水率、厚度、白度及機械性質等之變化。綜合其結果與建議如下: 1.省產的部份粒片板及纖維板具有良好之耐候性。快速生長的麻六甲合歡與山黃麻,同樣具有良好的耐候性。因此,吾人應該勇敢的採用此等材料。 2.東西南北四方位對木材及木質材料的耐候性,沒有顯著影響;但臺中及屏東兩地區,因氣候不同而使試材的性質變化有差別。 3.本試驗所用的不透明白調合漆,對於木材及木質材料的保護功能比透明噴磁漆好。塗透明噴磁漆之材料,於六個月的風化作用後,有重新塗裝的必要。耐候性良好的透明漆尚待研究製造。

In Taiwan particleboard and fiberboard arenot so popualr used as plywood. According tothe analysis, the quality of adhesives, producingtechnology and utilization of these boards arestill an early stage. Therefore, those productsgave a poor impression and the consumers werenot willingly to use them. On the contrary,plywood almost substitutes for the solid woodin the market. In Europe, America and manyother industrialized countries, particleboard andfibreboard are used not only for interior, but alsofor exterior construction. In orderto expand theutilization of particleboard and fiberboard inTaiwan, at this experiment, Chamaecyparis for-mosensis is undertaken as standard testing ma-terial or as comparative material:in additional thefast-growing tree species, such as Albizzia falcataand Trema orientals, are used as the nativewood based panels (Particleboard, fiberboard andplywood) with different paints and under extremecircumstances. The moisture content, thickness,brightness and properties were measured regu-larly by exposing them outdoors. The results and recommendations are as follows: (1) Part of native particleboard and fiber-board has excellent weather durability. Thefast-growing trees, such as Albizzia falcata andTrema orientals, have also shown good weatherdurability. Therefore, we should be able to usethose materials courageously. (2) Locations do not significant influenceon the weather durability of the wood andwood based materials, but the two areas at Tai-chung and Pingtung affect distinctly on theirproperties of experimental materials after wea-thering. (3) In this research, the non-transparentwhite paint got a better protection than tran-sparent paint. So it is necessary for the ma-terials that were to get repaintal after each 6months of weathering painted with transparentpaint. The transparent paint with good weatherdurability still waits to be studied and made.
