• 中文摘要： 1-(2-Lepidylazo)-2-acenaphthylenol (LAAc), a new heterocyclic azo dye, has been synthesized with a view to introduce a sensitive reagent. addition of ethanolic solution of LAAc to metal ions solutions give water-insoluble coloured complexes which are extractable in various water-immiscible organic solvents Zn2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Co2+, Ni2+ and Cu2+ has been determined spectrophotometrically with a fair degree of accuracy. Various physico-chemical characteristics, viz. Beer’s Law validity, optimum concentration ranges, composition etc. for the metal complexes have been reported. The metal complexes have also been studied in presence of various base metals which are generally associated with them.
