大白鼠視神經的一些同側投射

本實驗以自動放射顯影法來探求正常的及摘除一側眼球的成體大白鼠之視神經的投射徑路。標識的Fucose注射入正常成熟(對照群)及四個月前摘除左眼(實驗群)的老鼠之右眼玻璃體內,一天後將動物犧牲,取出腦做成切片,以自動放射顯影法來處理。發現在正常的老鼠其主視神經徑有交叉及不交叉的二種情形。其中大部份的視神經是交叉的投射,但在副視神經系統內,則沒有發現其有同側投射的情形。在眼球摘除的老鼠其主視神經之同側投射之情形比正常的老鼠的同側投射情形有顯著之增加。而在副視神經投射上則發現其有投射到同側的內終核的情形,這些現象之產生可能是來自另一眼球視神經側枝出芽之結果。

Autoradiography was employed to investigate the retinal projections in normal and enucleated adultrats. H-fucose was inlected in the vitreous body of the right eyes of two groups of rats; the first group(controls) consisted of normal adult albino rats. The second group included animals whose left eyes wereenucleated four months before. Animals were sacrificed one day after injection. In the normal rat, theprimary retinal fibers projected both crossed and uncrossed to those visual nuclei, although more projec-tions went to the contralateral nuclei. In the accessory optic system no ipsilateral projections were found.In the enucleated animals, the ipsilateral nuclei of the primary visual nuclei silver grains were significantlymore numerous than in the normal ones. In the accessory optic system, the ipsilateral projections werefound only in the medial terminal nucleus. The grain density in the ipsilateral medial terminal nucleusappeared to be increased in unilaterally enucleated animals as compared to that of the controls. This isdue to the collateral sprouting of the optic fibers from the remaining eye.
