- 英文摘要: Vectors based on lentiviruses have reached a state ofdevelopment such that clinical studies using theseagents as gene delivery vehicles have now begun, Theyhave particular advantages for certain in vitro and in vivoapplications especially the unique capability of integrat-ing genetic material into the genome of non-dividingcells. Their rapid progress into clinical use reflects in partthe huge body of knowledge which has accumulatedabout HIV in the last 20 years. Despite this, many aspectsof viral assembly on which the success of these vectorsdepends are rather poorly understood. Sufficient isknown however to be able to produce a safe and repro-ducible high titre vector preparation for effective trans-duction of growth-arrested tissues such as neural tissue, muscle and liver.
