- 英文摘要: The report describes microcomputer-based control of product composition for a multiple-step, diazo-coupling reaction in a continuous stirred-tank reactor (CSTR). Agitator speed is the manipulated variable, and we have developed a fiber-optics sensor for rapid on-line concentration measurement of product solution. The report includes experimental data for open-loop and closed-loop responses. The open-loop process reaction curve shows that neither the sensor nor the actuator has significant dead time. A slab-diffusion micromixing model with an exponential residence-time distribution effectively describes the process. The closed-loop response of a proportional controller demonstrates the effectiveness of agitator speed in following set-point changes and in eliminating disturbances . The control loop responds quickly because of the instantaneous effects of the agitator speed on the process outputs and the sensitivity of the fiber-optics sensor to the product concentration change .
