A.) by peroxydisulphate ion are reported, The reaction is first order with respect to S2O8.. ion zero order with respect to A. L. A. The rate is linearly related with Ag+ ion concentration. The oxidation products of A. L. A. were found to be CO2 and acetophenone, which establish the fission of C-C bond in the oxidation process. The mechanism of the reaction and inhibition by various substrats has been discussed.
