- 中文摘要: Benzophenone is produced in the photocatalytic oxidation of diphenylmethane in an oxygen saturated TiO/sub 2/ suspension. The yield is found to increase with increasing solvent polarity. An electron transfer mechanism is proposed in which a pair of electron-positive holes generated initially by illumination may transfer an electron to O/sub 2/ and abstract an electron from diphenylmethane to form O/sub 2/ and .phi./sub 2/CH/sub 2//sup +/; subsequently, .phi./sub 2/CH/sub 2//sup +/ will react with O/sub 2/ to give the product.
