- 英文摘要: The separation of a mixture of toluene and p-xylene was studied through the liquid surfactant membrane permeation. Saponin was used as the surfactant and hexane as the permeates-receiving solvent. The permeation and separation were discussed systematically by varying composition of feed, extent of emulsification, ratio of volume of surfactant solution to volume of feed solution, contact time and mixing intensity, surfactant additive and temperature. The separation factor of 2.4 in average was obtained in a single permeation stage. Rony's extent of separation is also expressed and compared with the conventional separation factor. In contrast to the separation factor, the extent of separation is characterized not only by the quality, but also by the quantity of a separation.
