• 中文摘要： 極變換電漿弧（VPPA）焊接步驟之推行證明了此種焊接方式具有高度快速焊接、減低修復次數、減少聯接焊件的準備工作、焊件歪扭現象之大量減低、以及去除多孔性焊件的產生等諸多優點。VPPA焊接步驟是美國太空總署馬歇爾太空飛行中心多年來努力開發的太空焊接技術。本文綜合過去四年來研究開發的VPPA焊接步驟的全盤數學模式作了介紹。數學模式的理論計算與聶克爾（Nichols )研究小組的實驗觀測作了詳細對比，證明理論計算的可靠性。
• 英文摘要： The significant advantages of the Variable Polarity Plasma Arc (VPPA) welding process includefaster welding, fewer repairs, less joint preparation, reduced weldment distortion, and the absence ofporosity. In this paper, a mathematical model is presented to analyze the VPPA welding process. Theresults of the mathematical model are compared with those of experimental observation carried out bythe Nichols Research team with excellent agreement.
