- 中文摘要: 本研究主要目的在設計並且評量一個適合中學生的淡水河河川環境教育計劃。此河川教育計劃包括五個單元:(1)我的淡水河經驗。(2)淡火河面面觀。(3)水質監測。(5)個案研究。(5)環境行動演練。位於淡水河支流-基隆上游、下游的基隆高中、松山高中二年級共四班於星期假日參與此教育活動,當作實驗組。另選這兩校,修課組別和學業成績與實驗組相近的四個班級作對照組,該組並無參與任何的活動。在活動前後一星期,兩組分別進行前測與後測,以了解此淡水河河川教育計劃對於參與者的認知、態度與知識的影響。前後測比較與實驗組對照組比較結果顯示,此教育計劃能(1)影著增加他們對於基隆河的認知。(2)顯著增加參與者拯救河川的有力感。(3)顯著增加他們採取宣導和參與學校環境保護工作的行動意向。(4)顯著增加他們在參與學校環境工作的規劃和做決定的責任感。E顯著增加學生有關河川水質知識的正確度與自信度。基於研究結果,筆者建議教育部應該考慮類似的河川教育計劃放入課程中。
- 英文摘要: Like many other places on the Earth, most rivers in Taiwan are polluted. Educational programsare needed to raise the public's concern about rivers and motivate them to take action. The Tansui RiverEducation Program (TREP) was designed for secondary students in the Tansui River watershed of Taiwan.The pilot TREP was conducted in two high schools to evaluate the program's effects on attitudes andknowledge. The experimental design included control and experimental groups, pre- and post-tests anda questionnaire. A paired t-test and a one-way ANOVA with a 0.05 level of significance were usedto analyze the data. Due to an inflexible regular curriculum, the two-day pilot program was conductedoutside of class during weekends and holidays. The control group did not receive any instruction andonly answered the questionnaire.Major findings of the research were:(1)TREP significantly increasedparticipants' awareness of the river; (2) TREP significantly increased their sense of empowerment forsaving the river; (3) TREP significantly increased their intention to take actions related to "advocacy"and "school environmental protection"; (4) TREP significantly increased their feeling of responsibilityfor the school environment in terms of planning and decision making;(5) TREP significantly increasedtheir knowledge of water quality. In light of the research results, the author suggests that the Ministryof Education in Taiwan should consider adding TREP to the national curriculum.
