- 中文摘要: 蝌蚪之消化系統,肝臟酵素及血紅素等皆隨變態而改變。卵巢之發育是否亦與變態有關,則尚屬未知。取兩組牛蛙(Rana catesbeiana)蝌蚪,變態進度同為TK stage XVIII。一為過冬蝌蚪,去年生,年齡為九個月;一為今年蝌蚪,今年生,年齡為3個月。分別取出卵巢,做4種不同之檢查:1.以石蠟包埋,切片,HE染色,觀察其發育情形;2.用冷凍切片,以acridine orange染色,顯示DNA及RNA分佈情形;3.用放射免疫分析法測量雌性素的分泌量;4.以冷凍切片組織化學法測量卵巢細胞中△ -3β-HSD的活性。結果顯示,過冬蝌蚪卵母細胞直徑為150μm為今年者之3倍;過冬蝌蚪卵母細胞胞質內含DNA及RNA量較多,故嗜鹼性較今年者強;過冬蝌蚪每對卵巢雌性素分泌量為38 pg,為今年者之8倍,△ -3β-HSD活性也較今年者強。可見卵巢的發育與年齡有密切的關係,不受變態進度的影響。
- 英文摘要: This study reports the relationship between the age and metamorphic progress and the ovarian de-velopment of tadpoles. Two groups of Rana catesbeiana tadpoles were used, the over-winter and the firstyear tadpoles. The tadpoles were at the same metamorphic stage XVIII but at different ages; one was 9months old and the other was 3 months old. After pithing, their ovaries were removed. The developmentof ovaries were explored by 4 different approaches: the histology, distribution of DNA and RNA; amountof estrogen secretion,and the enzyme activity of △ -3β-HSD of the 2 groups of ovaries. The results indicatethat the over-winter tadpoles had larger and more auxocytes than the first year tadpoles. The amount ofovarian estrogen secretion in the over-winter tadpoles was 8-fold more than that of the first year tadpoles,and their △ -3β-HSD enzyme activity was stronger than that of the first year tadpoles. These results indi-cate that the ovarian development depends on age not on metamorphic process. Metamorphosis of amphi-bian tadpoles does not necessarily reflect their ovarian development.
