- 中文摘要: 本研究探討影響我國國小學童使用估算的因素及緣由。為達研究目的,本研究使用個別訪談及小組活動觀察,並配合收集小學教師對估算之態度。 國小學生使用估算的經驗不多,但在受鼓勵的情況下會使用估算來驗算數學答案。許多小朋友將答案是否「合理」認為是指「正確」的意思。 大部份教師認為估算是重要的部份,應該要教給學生。
- 英文摘要: This study explores the conceptual development and competence in computational estimationof Chinese students at the elementary school level. In order to achieve this objective, individualinterviews were conducted and small group activities concerning estimation were observed. Usingthe data collected from these observations, conclusions were drawn about the attitudes of studentstowards computational estimation. Attitudes towards estimation and in-service teachers’ex-perience in estimation were also researched to reflect the possibility of including estimation infuture curricula. Fifty-eight teachers and thirty students from 4th through 8th grade participatedin this study. More than half of the teachers consider estimation an important topic and would considerincluding it in their curriculum. Most students in this study do not use estimation to checktheir answers on exams or on calculators. Also, many students confuse“Reasonable answer”with“Correct answer”.
