- 中文摘要: This research collected public-private junior high and elementary school choice preference data in south and north of Taiwan using self-designed stated preference survey questionnaire. The experimental design adopted was the fractional factorial orthogonal design. The disaggregate choice structure was binary logit model. The results showed that, for the junior high school, the explanatory variables having significant effects on the school choice behavior were tuition fee, the probability of entering first rate senior high school, the distance from home, co-opted school, school bus, being able to enter senior high of the same school, extracurricular cram, and family income. For the junior high school choice, the explanatory variables having significant effects were tuition fee, the probability of entering private junior high school, the distance from home, teaching goal, and family income. The results also showed that the surveyed sample had a higher loyalty for public school.
- 英文摘要: 本研究利用自行設計的敘述偏好調查問卷,收集了臺灣地區南部與北部的國中與國小學 校選擇的偏好數據。問卷的實驗設計採用部分要因的直交設計。所採用的個體選擇架構是二項羅機(binary logit)模式。研究結果發現在國中階段,對學校選擇有顯著影響的解釋變項是學 費、考上一流高中的升學率、學校離家的距離、男女是否合校、有無校車接送、可否直升原校高中、是否需要課外補習、以及家庭所得。在國小階段,對學校選擇有顯著影響的解釋變 項是學費、考上私中的機率、學校離家的距離、教學目標、以及家庭所得。研究結果亦發現受訪樣本對公立學校的忠誠度較高。
