纖維素水解之動力學分析

纖維素在固體狀況下進行水解時重量損失之機程如何,是本文闡發的主要目標。假設的條件是在纖維素晶體表面產生自由切割,各被切斷之小分子溶解於反應試劑之中因而造成重量之損失。由此可導出t時間的微晶體殘餘重量為 (方程式無法摘錄) 此中,w 為晶體之原重量,P 為晶體之平均長度,α是小分子溶解上限,k是反應常數。在以6.5 N HCI為反應劑水解時,α可能高達12 DP。因此,在自然界生長的纖維素有一個內定的10%初失重,而再生纖維素之初失重高達30%。這都是受了溶解因素 (方程式無法摘錄) 的影響,而與傳統的「非晶體」纖維素無關。 根據上式所繪出之理論失重曲線,和實測結果相驗證,其符合的程度相當良好。

The mode of weight loss in heterogeneoushydrolysis of cellulos is investigated. It is as-sumed that the random attack on the surface ofthe crystalline cellulose and the dissolution ofsmall oligomers into the reaction medium is themain cause of the material loss. The residueweight, Wj, thus derived takes the form (方程式無法摘錄) , where by W is theoriginal weight of the sample, is the averagechain length of the cystallites, is the uppersolubility limit of these oligomers, and K is thereaction constant for the chaih scission. Forhydrolysis in 6 N HC1, ce can be as high as 12DP. Therefore, there is a built-in 10% initialweight loss for native cellulose and about 30 /ofor regenerated celluflose, due to the solubilityfactor (方程式無法摘錄) , but not the so-called "Amor-phous materials" in cellulose. It is found that the theoretical weight losscurve according to the derived equation is ingood agreement with that of the experimentalresults.
