- 英文摘要: The kinetics of ozone decomposition in aqueous solution with and without ultraviolet (UV) radiation were investigated in a stopped-flow reactor and a batch reactor, respectively. Both results indicated that the decomposition of ozone follows first order kinetics. The catalytic effect of hydroxide ion indicated that there are two different reaction mechanisms for the decomposition of ozone in acid and basic regions, respectively. An empirical rate equation was proposed for the decomposition of ozone without UV radiation over the pH range of 2.75 to 10.2 and the temperature range from 12 to 28.degree.C. In addition, the catalytic effect of UV radiation on ozone decomposition was found to be significant in acid region, while becoming less important with increasing pH and temperature.
