- 英文摘要: The design, fabrication and performance of a singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO)synchronously pumped by the second-harmonic output (λ=0.532μm) of an actively mode-locked and Q-switched Nd: YAG laser are reported. The OPO comprises an angularly tuned type-II potassium titanylphosphate (KTP) crystal. The output of the device is tunable from 740 nm to 950 nm in the signal wavebranch and from 1.2 μm to 1.9 μm in the idler beam. The oscillation threshold at a signal wavelengthof 850 nm is 900 MW/c㎡, and intracavity conversion efficiency as high as 22% has been achieved. Thesignal linewidth at 810 nm is about 38 without spectral narrowing. By inserting a grating in the Littmangeometry into the OPO cavity, a linewidth about two times (0.9) of the transform-limit of the pulsehas been achieved. This OPO device provides a simple and efficient way to convert a Nd: YAG laserinto a widely tunable coherent source with a narrow bandwidth.
