The polarographic characteristics of the chelate formed between lead ion and ascorbic acid have been studied over a pH range of 2.0 to 5.8.
The reversible reduction was held over a wide range of the concentration of the chelating agent varying from 0.132M to 1.0 M when pH value was lower than 5.8.
The higher the concentration of ascorbic acid, the more hydroxyl ion was involved in the reduction of the polarograhpic solution of the same pH value.
At pH 2.5 to 5.8 the existence of a mixture of more than one kind of chelate species was found.
The diffusion current was found to be proportional to lead ion concentration from 0.2mM to 2.0mM with 1.4% average deviation. - 英文摘要: --
