- 英文摘要: Several usually made assumptions in a capillary suction apparatus test are verified in this work. Within a statistical confidence level, the wet front shape can be taken as an ellipse in a cylindrical capillary suction apparatus (CCSA) test or a straight line in a rectangular capillary suction apparatus (RCSA) test. It is also noted that, with the help of the results with variable-width filter papers, the fluid flow field in an RCSA test is shown to be unidimensional. The particle sedimentation effects on capillary suction time (CST) in a CCSA or RCSA test is evaluated theoretically, and the result indicates that the effects should be insignificant in most cases. The CST is also little affected by the top and the bottom plates, or when the inner cylinder loading is less than 9,000Pa.
