- 中文摘要: 由於微晶片科技進展神速,使得設計V LSI電路變成複雜且費時,本文針對其中控制路徑,提出一控制器自動合成系統,本系統是首先考慮到多週期且連結運算結構之控制器電路及控制碼壓縮,為了達到節省控制器之成本,本文提出一些新的作法與觀念:(1)運算器之調整排序:此調整動作將在資源和速度限制下完成,本系統已發展一演譯法完成此動作;(2)新的微程式控制器模型:其適用於各種多週期且連結運算結構之控制;(3)壓縮比例之預測:調整過CDFG,本系統可頂測控制之壓縮比例,以選擇最佳之壓縮技術。
- 英文摘要: This paper describes a system, called MC_NCKU, to perform synthesis of microprogrammedcontroller from CDFG (Control_Data_Flow_GraPh. The problem for synthesis of a controller withmulticycling and chaining operations has not yet been addressed· To deal with this problem,this paperexplores a set of methods as follows: (a) to present the adjustment of scheduling to obtain better code compaction and develop the ISA algorithm for adjustment; (b) to propose a new basie microprogrammed control model and a set of compaction teehniques to compact the codes of multicycling and chaining operations; (e) to predict the CR (Compaction Ratio) from the adjusted CDFG to determine a profitable com- paction technique.Our approach has been implemented on a SUN work station in C language. Finally, some experimentalresults have shown the efficiency of this approaeh.
