- 英文摘要: A mathematical model was developed for simulating the drying behaviors of materials during the initial rate period, the constant rate period, and the first falling rate period in batch drying system. The developed model was considered in regard to both the characteristics of material and the dynamic characteristics of material and the dynamic changes of operational conditions for the system, i.e. humidity, air temperature and air flow rate, etc. Three important dimensionless parameters values Nu/sub 0/, Sh/sub 0/ and Le were introduced to describe the characteristics of drying curves. The effects of material's thickness and the flow rate of the inlet air were also studied for wool. The proposed model was identified by comparing the results under the conditions of limiting operation with those of Chen & Pei's model under the conditions of constant drying.
