• 中文摘要： 本報告係描述一自行研製之實驗型電子交換系統。本系統係採用簧繼電器（reed relay）作為接點的室問分劃式（space division）之交換網路，同時使用HP 2100A小型電子計算機作為該系統之中央控制單位。儲存於計算機內部之呼哄處理程式是以即時及分時方式控制交換機能，其結構具有易於擴充之特性。在初步研製過程中，因限於經費，僅設計三十二部用戶電話。 本報告就交換網路，掃描器，服務電路，程式結構及其特定機能作詳細描述。
• 英文摘要： A 32-subscriber 2-stage space division switching network with reed-relayswitches is adopted for the prototype Electronic Switching System being developedin the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University. The con-figuration of the system developed permits the system to be expanded easily. TheHP 2100A stored program computer is used to control the switching functions. Inthe first stage of studies, only the intra-office call is considered. The call processingprogram designed for the ESS system controls the switching functions in real timeand time-sharing basis. An interrupt signal at 10-millisecond rate initiates thehigh-priority program that must be performed to accurate timing tolerances. This report describes the switching network, scanners, service circuits, the pro-gram structure and its specified functions.
