• 中文摘要： 有關套利定價理論的實證研究一般採用的因子抽取方法為因素分析法與漸近主成份分析法。本研究利用Connor和Korajczyk的漸近主成份分析法驗證套利定價理論在台灣資本市場的適用性，採用SPIT及FRIT資料庫在1983～1990年間的週報酬資料為樣本，進行Fama－Macbeth的兩階段驗證，且時亦以APT理論檢驗規模效果及四家基金的投資績效，實證結果發現，第一個因子與發行量加權指數報酬有極大的相關。而在1987～1990年期間，台灣股市存在規模效果，即小型股投資組合存在高報酬，且無法由五個因子的APT模式所解釋，而在1983～1986期間時，大型股卻有正的投資績效。綜合言之，在1983～1986年期間，台灣股市以大型股的投資績效較好，而在1986年後的這一段股市快速成長的期間，反而以小型股的投資績效較好。至於1988年後上市的四家基金則並沒有較好的投資績效，即五因子APT模式充分解釋基金之報酬。
• 英文摘要： In this article, the asymptotic principal components method, originally developed by Cham-berlain and Rothschild (1983) and later extended by Connor and Korajczyk (1986), is appliedto test the APT using Taiwan Stock Exchange Data. Fama MacBeth's two-step test is usedto examine the pricing relationship of APT. Also, the performance of mutual funds and sizeeffects are likewise examined. Results indicate for the period of 1988 to 1990 that four mutualfunds performed relatively poorly as evaluated by the APT pricing relationship. While arguingthat the deregulation of Taiwan's financial markets after 1986 significantly affected the stockmarket, the size anomaly in two periods (1983 to 1986, and 1987 to 1990) are evaluated. Resultsshow that the porfolio of large firms had a positive mispricing during the first period, whilesize effect existed when the market grew rapidly during the second period. Results show thatsize anomaly is not persistent over time in Taiwan.
