家蠶核多角體病毒感染性之電子顯微鏡觀察

本文以電子顯微鏡觀察家蠶(Bombyx mori)核多角體病毒(nuclear polyhedrosis virus)於細胞內之感染過程。由表皮細胞之圖片顯示,病毒子座在核中央形成,其內產生多數之病毒粒子,多角體亦在核周圍行聚合化(polymerization)。病毒粒子外被為兩層膜所構成,其內所含病毒粒子數目一般為一或二個,亦有多達十個者。電子顯微鏡觀察除表皮細胞及脂肪體外,馬氏管,血球及絲腺等組織亦發現受核多角體病毒之感染。經由電子顯微鏡之觀察,更進一步證實本省的家蠶受核多角體病毒之感染。

The processes of infection by nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV) in the silkworm, Bombyx mori, wereexamined at subcellular level using electron microscopy. Electron micrographs taken from epidermal cellsrevealed that the virogenic stroma is formed in the center of the nucleus where the virions are produced andthat the polymerization of polyhedra is undergone in the periphery. The virion is enveloped by a double-layered membrane within which 1 to 2, or up to 10 in some cases, are enclosed. In addition to epidermisand fat bodies, Malpighian tubules, hemocytes and silk glands were also found to possess polyhedra in EMmicrographs. The electron microscopic examinations further confirmed infection of B. mori with NPV inTaiwan.
