- 中文摘要: From the engineering point of view, the traditional numerical analysis of flow past a supercavitating hydrofoil is an indirect approach in the sense that the cavity length is specified and the cavitation number is expressed as a function of the cavity length. In the present study, we propose an efficient semi-direct numerical procedure for the problem where the cavitation number in prescribed. The approach is based on a simple interpolation procedure which seems to be of universal use for two-dimensional supercavitating hydrofoils. The problem is still treated as a nonlinear one in the sense that both the cavity length and the cavity shape are parts of the solution. The results of numerical experiments show that the present approach is effective and economical in terms of computation, compared with approaches based on other theories and numerical methods.
