- 中文摘要: A sample of cobalt oxide with cobalt ions in a highly oxidative state, p-Co2O3, was prepared from Co(NO3)2(aq) through a precipitation by NaOH and an oxidation by H2O2. The prepared p-Co2O3 was characterized as a nonstoichiometric sample with a chemical formula of Co3+0.96Co4+0.04O2-1.52·0.6H2O, by combined techniques of the thermogravimetry (TG) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). Stoichiometric samples of Co2O3·H2O, Co3O4 and CoO were fabricated from the p-Co2O3 by controlled hydrogen reduction in TPR to 420 K and thermal decompositions at 670 and 1170 K, respectively. The stoichiometric cobalt oxides have been subsequently used as standard samples to pursue their reducibility in hydrogen and their structures with XRD and IR spectrum. The refined cobaltic oxide was characterized as a monohydrated oxide of hexagonal crystal.
