- 英文摘要: The solution of the torsion of non-circular sections by finite elementsis investigated. A Kantorovich profile, instead of the usual linear polyno-mial, is assumed for the element stress function. An attempt is made todetermine what role Kantorovich profile will play in the finite elementmethod of solution and the validity of our assumption. One of the beauties of the Kantorovich profile is the ease with whichit can be adapted to handle irregularly shapped regions. The results showthat when the ratio of the length-to-width of the section increases, the solu-tion (represented by Y) will get closer and closer to the exact solution (re-presented by X).The Kantorovich Profile will enhance the accuracy ofthe solution without reducing the size of the elements.
