西瓜嵌紋病病株呼吸作用及數種氧化酵素活性之探討

曾予測定。葉內之嵌紋病毒於接種後第18~21天達最高?,但其含量亦因葉齡不同而有所差別
。系統性感染之病葉組織內,於接種後第15天,其peroxidase活性較健葉增加36%,於接種
後第20天,增加至45%,而崁紋病徵亦出現於接種後第15天,顯示病徵之顯現與呼吸之增進
有相關性。以光譜分析儀等,於生體外行氧化酵素活性之測定,接種後之第15天及20天,病葉
組織內peroxidase之活性,較其在健葉組織內者分別增加38%及52%,然而catalase之活性
於接種第15天後之病葉內者,較健葉降低28%。Ascorbic acid oxidase之活性則無論是在健葉
或是在病葉內並無顯著差異,polyphenol oxidase在病葉及健葉組織內,並不存在;即若存在,
其活性亦極低微。研究結果顯示peroxidase活性、病毒之含量,以及病徵之展現三者間有密切
的相關性。f

The respiratory rate, virus content andactivity of some oxidases were tested inwatermelon leaves from healthy plants andplants infected with watermelon mosaic virus(WMV). Infectivity of WMV in watermelonleaves was highest 18-21 days after inoculation.The respiratory activity in leaves systemicallyinfected with WMV increased by 36% within15 days and 45% within 20 days over thehealthy controls. An increase in respiration 15days after inoculation coincided closely withthe appearance of mosaic symptoms. In vitroactivities of oxidases in the compatible reactionwere assayed spectrophotometrically. Peroxidaseactivity was 38% higher on the 15th day and52% higher on the 20th day in the infectedleaves than in the healthy ones. Catalase activitywas 28% lower on the 15th day in infectedleaves than in healthy ones. Infected and healthyleaves showed little difference in the activityof ascorbic acid oxidase. Polyphenol oxidasewas not active, if present. There was a closerelationship among peroxidase activity, viruscontent and symptom development.
