- 英文摘要: The adsorption of SO/sub 2/ by MgO pellet with Fe/sub 2/O/sub 3/ additive was investigated by thermogravimetric method. Surface areas, pore volumes and pore size distributions of pellet at different stages of reaction were determined by a surface area meter. The compositions of some solid samples were analyzed by X-ray diffractometer. Experimental results indicated that the reaction rate could be enhanced by increasing the amount of Fe/sub 2/O/sub 3/, decreasing the grain size of Fe/sub 2/ O/sub 3/ or increasing the sulfation temperature. The enhancement of the adsorption of SO/sub 2/ is probably due to the catalytic effect of Fe/sub 2/O/sub 3/ on the oxidation of SO/sub 2/ to form SO/sub 3/ which is captured by MgO.
