• 中文摘要： 本研究試圖分析臺中縣、市隨機樣本的面訪問卷調查資料，以驗證夫妻分工模式與夫妻關係的有關命題。分析的重點強調以下四個層面：(1)瞭解臺灣中部地區夫妻分工模式及其前置因素；(2)檢定夫妻分工模式與夫妻決策權力分配的關聯；(3)檢定夫妻分工模式與妻子心理壓力的關聯；(4)檢定夫妻分工模式與夫妻衝突的關聯。經由單因子變異數分析(One-way ANOVA)、區辨函數分析(Discriminant Analysis)、多變項迴歸分析(MultivariateRegression Analysis)、以及邏輯迴歸分析(Logistic Regression Analysis)等統計分析技術，對本研究所成立的三個假設，進行計量分析與假設檢定。檢定結果顯示：依互換理論的概念架構所成立的三個理論性假設，並沒有獲得本研究經驗資料的完全支持。本研究的經驗資料顯示：妻子在家庭重大消費行為的決策上，其影響力並沒有因夫妻分工模式的不同而有所差別；然而，夫妻分工模式卻顯著的影響了妻子的心理壓力，以及夫妻間的衝突。大體而言，平等互惠與夫兼內外兩夫妻分工模式的妻子，經驗到較少的心理壓力與夫妻間的衝突；而夫外妻內與妻兼內外兩夫妻分工模式的妻子，經驗到較多的心理壓力與夫妻間的衝突。這些研究發現，本文也作了理論上的解釋。此外，建構一個「夫妻分工」類型學，是本研究的另一目的。
• 英文摘要： This research attempted to verify some propositions, which are related to the patterns of couple’sdivision of labor and the relationships between husband and wife, by using the sample data from Taichungareas. Data analysis was focused on four points: (1) the descriptions of the patterns of division of laborbetween husband and wife in Central Taiwan, and how the antecedents affect the patterns of couple's divisionof labor; (2)the association between the patterns of couple's division of labor and the couple's decision power;(3) the association between the patterns of couple's division of labor and wife's psychological stress; (4) theassociation between the patterns of couple's division of labor and the couple’s conflict. By using One-wayANOVA, Discriminant Analysis, Multivariate Regression Analysis, and Logistic Regression Analysis for thehypotheses testing in this research, we found that the 3 theoretical hypotheses were not fully supported by ourempirical evidence. The empirical data in this research showed: wife's decision power was not significantlyinfluenced by the patterns of couple's division of labor; but wifes's psychological stress and couple's conflictwere significantly related to the patterns of couple's division of labor. Generally, those wives in the patternsof reciprocity and husband-overload, experienced less psychological stress and less couple's conflict; and thosewives in the patterns of tradition and wife-overload, experienced more psychological stress and more couple'sconflict. These findings were theoretically interpreted in this paper. The construction of a typology of couple'sdivision of labor is one more purpose of this research.
