- 中文摘要: 以三種不同的聚合方法(整體、整體一懸浮,及懸浮)來合成耐衝擊性聚(苯乙烯/甲基丙烯酸甲酯)共聚合物。就其機械性質,透明性及一般性質來判斷,其中以整體聚合的較佳,代表性組成含甲基丙烯酸甲酯百分之七十,苯乙烯百分之二十五及聚丁二烯橡膠百分之五。如以 ASTM 方法來測定其各種物性是:張力強度6000psi;耐衝擊強度1.3 ft-1b/in;光透明性88%;軟化點 135 C;融態流動溫度185°C。相轉化點發生在固體含量達到百分之九或十時。由此可知,本實驗在改進ABS工程塑膠顏色方面的缺點,應屬成功,同時各種數據顯示,實驗室合成之MmBS塑膠各種性質和一般商業成品相若。
- 英文摘要: Rubber modified styrene/methyl methacylate polymers have been synthesized via threedifferent routes, i. e. bulk, bulk-suspension and suspension polymerization at 80-90°C. Whenthe overall (mainly mechanical and transparent) performance is concerned, the preferred onehas an initial composition of 70 wt% methyl methacrylate, 5 wt% polybutadiene rubber and 25wt% styrene via bulk polymerization at 90%C. Based on the ASTM method, its tensile strengthhas been determined as 6000 psi, impact strength of 1.3 ft-1b/in, the degree of light trans-mission of 88%, softening point of 135°C and flow beginning temperature of 185°C. Phaseinversion occurs at 9-10% of solid content. Thus, the tailor-made concept to modify ABS incolor deficiency has been accomplished. Furthermore these data indicate that the laboratory-made polymer is comparable with those made commercially.
